Agarita Creek is a 170 acre guest ranch retreat located six miles south of the popular tourist destination of
Fredericksburg, Texas, operated by Beverly and Tom Carnes.
There are two guest accommodations, each a two bedroom German chink-style log
cabin on a bluff overlooking the ranch. The limited number of accommodations creates a unique ranch
experience in which guests experience the solitude and relaxation of being away from the hustle and bustle of
the workaday world while being, at the same time, only minutes from one of Texas’ top tourist destinations,
with its many wineries, galleries, restaurants, a world-class historical museum, and a vibrant live music and
entertainment scene. It is truly the best of all worlds.
Roam the ranch and experience the heritage sheep, whitetail deer,
Rio Grande turkey, and other abundant wildlife that the
ranch is home to. Visit Fredericksburg’s Main Street and its unique shops,
art galleries, restaurants,
and bars. Make a visit to the National Museum of the Pacific War, area wineries, or Luckenbach, Texas.
Climb Enchanted Rock. Or simply relax on the abundant front porch of your own private retreat and feel
the world melt away.
Bring the kids or grandkids, and the dog, or not. Your trip is what you make it. It is all here,
waiting for you, and for those who return to their own special place time and time again.
