Welcome to Agarita Creek Farms
Agarita Creek Farms
is a working experiment in self-sufficient and sustainable family farming located in Fredericksburg, Texas.
It is operated by Beverly and Tom Carnes, who have no previous farming or ranching experience, but who have an
enduring commitment to farming and ranching in a responsible, sustainable, and humane manner, as shepherds
to their flock and as stewards to their land.
We hope our farm and ranch will evolve into an educational resource for other actual or would to be farmers
and ranchers. Contributing to the dialogue on issues such as sustainability, organic gardening and orcharding,
raising grass-fed heritage livestock, and other topics.
To further than end, we have constructed our first two beautiful log cabins
for guests who want to participate in or learn about this project, or simply desire an idyllic place
to stay in the majestic Texas Hill Country. More guest accommodations will follow.
We invite you to share in the vision that is Agarita Creek Farms, through these pages, surely, but
ultimately through a visit of a weekend, a week, or even more...
